Picked Up was built because we're tired of watching networks destroy great shows. If you're a creator with a story to tell, we want to help you tell it — without the interference.
Submit Your ProjectTraditional networks take everything and give you nothing but notes. We do the opposite.
Your story belongs to you. We license it, we don't own it. When our deal ends, your IP goes with you — not into a vault where it'll never see daylight again.
No executive notes. No "can we make the lead more likeable?" No forced love triangles. You make the show you pitched. We stay out of the way.
You'll see exactly how your show is performing — real numbers, not vague corporate-speak. If it's struggling, you'll know why. If it's succeeding, you'll have proof.
We don't greenlight often. But when we do, we commit.
Send us your pilot, proof of concept, or even a strong pitch deck. We're open to projects at various stages — what matters is the vision and your ability to execute it.
Promising projects get featured on our platform. This isn't a popularity contest — it's a chance to build an audience and demonstrate demand before full production.
Projects that hit their audience targets earn a greenlight. These aren't arbitrary numbers — they're the threshold that proves your show has a sustainable audience.
Once greenlit, you're guaranteed two seasons. No cancellation after 28 days. No pulling the plug because a spreadsheet said so. You get real runway to build your world.
Writing a show is hard. Writing a show while looking over your shoulder at executives is impossible.
We believe great stories need runway. Characters need time to grow. Audiences need time to find them.
That's why every Picked Up Original Series receives a guaranteed two-season order. We take the financial risk so you can take the creative risk.
We're actively looking for bold, original stories that deserve a real chance.
We're genre-agnostic. Drama, comedy, sci-fi, horror, thriller — if the story is compelling and the vision is clear, we want to hear about it.
We review every submission. If your project fits what we're building, we'll reach out within 2-3 weeks to discuss next steps. If it's not the right fit, we'll let you know — no ghosting.
Your submission is confidential. We don't share your materials.
No. We accept projects at various stages — from strong pitch decks to completed pilots. What matters is the clarity of your vision and your ability to execute.
All of them. We're story-first, not genre-first. If it's compelling and original, we want to see it.
You retain ownership of your intellectual property. We license the right to distribute your show on our platform for an agreed-upon term. When the term ends, your IP is still yours.
We're very interested in revivals and continuations — that's part of why we exist. The key question is rights availability. If you have a path to the rights, let's talk.
We aim to respond to all submissions within 2-3 weeks. If your project moves forward, we'll reach out to schedule a conversation.
No catch. We make money when your show succeeds. Our interests are aligned — we want you to make something great, and we want to help you do it.
If you're tired of being told to make your vision smaller, safer, more marketable — we should talk.
